Luke Dam

Luke has an extensive background as a service provider in a wide range of industries. This includes providing training, auditing advice, coaching and actually performing hands on work in industries such as petroleum, height safety, fire safety & emergency planning and coordination at a national level for the Commonwealth Government

As a service provider, Luke has worked in a variety of settings including health, pharmaceutical, food processing and manufacturing of many kinds. This has given him a good understanding of the issues pertaining to OHS/HSE, risk management, emergency management and business continuity.

Luke is also a contributing author to a number of books including:
• HB 292-2006 A Practitioners Guide to Business Continuity Management
• HB 293-2006 Executive Guide to Business Continuity Management
• A Photographic Guide To Pre-hospital Spinal Care
• Vehicle Extraction Techniques

Luke has over 12 years experience as a volunteer with the SES and also as a lecturer for the Ambulance Service via Monash University Campus of Ambulance Paramedic Studies (MUCAPS).

Luke has also participated in national exercises to review the Commonwealth Government's response capabilities, such as Exercise Big Splash which was undertaken to review the Commonwealth Aviation Disaster Response Plan (CAVDISPLAN).

 
Sam Lloyd

Sam's working life has evolved around heavy industry, with extensive experience in the private fire industry and as a volunteer with the CFA.

His experience in developing work permits, confined space permits and auditing, risk awareness and processes in large industrial complexes is of benefit to those that work in environments that offer diverse and unusual challenges and risks.

Sam also has extensive experience in training and developing teams in both emergency and fire fighting within an industrial context- with safety foremost at hand, he can develop both team skill and individual skills to assist with many facets of work and life.

Sam is an Incident, Cause, Analysis Method (ICAM) facilitator, and can help alleviate those problems that are often blamed on personnel but never on the associated facts that cause people to act the way they do.

Sam was also the Network Leader for BlueScope Steel’s Legal Compliance committees managing Confined Spaces and Height Safety across their sites.

Sam has recently completed the  Advanced Diploma of Public Safety (Emergency Management).
